This site is still under development. About CSGNational Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL) is a world leader in rare isotope research and nuclear science education. NSCL scientists and researchers conduct advanced research in fundamental nuclear science, nuclear astrophysics, and accelerator physics. To facilitate the research, NSCL operates multiple particle accelerators. The various components of the accelerators - ion sources, cyclotrons, beam lines, experimental devices, and auxiliary equipment - are controlled through the Control System (CS). The CS is a mix of hardware devices, databases, and software programs, and is essential to the operation of the accelerator facility. The Controls Software Group (CSG) at NSCL provides software development, support, and consulting services relevant to the lab’s control system.EPICSNSCL EPICS modules/extentions (Contact: John A.
